Steve has wide experience of work within both the public and private sector. His professional career started with the Metropolitan Police Service, where he served as a Detective Constable in Croydon and Brixton. After about nine years service an opportunity arose to work as a trainer with one of the UK’s large training consultancies. He progressed as a trainer and facilitator, later serving as centre manager, training manager and finally as a member of the senior management team.

Steve is the founder and Director of Team Agility UK Ltd., specialising in talent management, leadership development and team development, working with ‘fluid teams’ whose membership changes frequently. He developed the Team Agility model of team development, which focuses on the skills individuals require to perform effectively in such a frequently changing team environment.
As well as being responsible for running and growing the business, he is actively involved in delivery of leadership and team development initiatives and other training programmes.

He has a Masters degree in Strategic Leadership, from Salford University, that supports his experience in training and senior management roles, and is a Member of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning. He is qualified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) which can be used in a variety of training situations.

Steve is also qualified to use the Strength Deployment Inventory® (SDI®) in his training programmes. The SDI® helps people identify their personal strengths in relating to others, both when things are going well and when they are faced with conflict. This makes it the ideal instrument for resolving conflict in teams and for leadership development programmes.
