The benefits for the programme to the individual and their team are clear. In addition, there is a clear benefit in terms of cost. Frequently a team development programme can cost thousands of pounds (as well as the opportunity costs of having your whole team away from their work place at the same time). Whilst it is often the right strategy to organise this type of event, the Team Agility programme provides an opportunity to achieve real behaviour change at work without those additional costs, because it is designed to be completed by individuals. To achieve the programme’s objectives and meet your development needs, the programme uses a blend of reading, self-assessing questionnaires and reflective activities that direct the learning directly back to the workplace in practical application. All parts of the programme are carefully designed to take you logically on your journey to Team Agility – being able to work effectively in any team context, wherever you are.
During the programme you’ll be working through four modules, dealing in depth with the four Team Agility skills of Self-Awareness, Self-Motivation, Rapport and Communication Capability. With each module, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a variety of different activities to focus your thinking and help you choose effective team behaviours. Some activities will involve personal reflection, others may involve you discussing ideas with a colleague – whatever its nature, each activity will move you closer to the objective: learning to use Team Agility skills.
